They are a Brazilian band born in 1982 (the end)and playing a good symphonic prog. Quantum remained together for two years only. Anyway, it was long enough for them to release their namesake debut album in 1983, which sold more than 6,000 copies. Their style was clearly influenced by Camel and Genesis with added elements of jazzy nature, which provided some peculiar swing to the overall symphonic sound. Its first album selftitled issued in 1983 and the line-up is: Felipe Carvelho / bass (7);- Fernando Costa / keyboards; - Paulo Eduardo Naddeo / drums, percussion; - Reynaldo Rana Jr / guitars; - Segis Rodrigues / bass; - Marcos Rosset / guitars, bass (4).
