Genesis

Maybe the name Genesis was all the fashion once upon a time, maybe such name was very famous in prog-ambient during the 70's; the fact is that also in Colombia there was a prog band named Genesis (like in Uruguay as well, just I posted some weeks ago). It recorded an album in 1975 entitled Yakta Mama, it is the third in their discography. The music of this band is a pretty folk-rock-prog very original with Andean sounds. Flutes, acoustic, electric & 12-string guitars, percussions, bass, occasional harmonica and brilliant vocals offer an unusual and charming sound in the folk, rock & psychedelic veins, but always with a wonderful Andean folk feel.
