Xhol Caravan

Xhol or aka Xhol Caravan or aka Soul Caravan was one of the first bands which participated at the send of the 60s to the launch of the Krautrock movement in Germany. Nevertheless their music cannot be categorised. I have already posted some its albums into my blog. Today I wish to present a triple CD live entitled Motherfuckers Live (just 237 MB!) remastered in 2001; the first CD is a suite entitled Freedom Opera played in 1968; the second CD is WDR Radio Live session in 1969; the third CD is not an authentic Xhol recording or expression, it's a small rotation, of 15 or so minutes, consistent of three covers made on three Xhol pieces, by Current Ninety Three, Nurse With Wound and Christoph Heemann. I remember yourself its line-up: Skip van Wyck / drums; - Tim Belbe / saxophone; - Hansi Fischer / saxophone & flute; - Klaus Briest / bass; - Öcki / keyboards; - James Rhodes / vocals; - Werner Funk / guitar. Who loves Zappa or Soft Machine must listen to this one! Enjoy!
